To qualify for the “Early Bird” prices you must have signed up and paid your deposit by 30th November. Anyone signing up after this will be charged the full rate
20% of the total fee – this is non-refundable
Yes. Payment will be split into 5 equal parts. Once the deposit has been paid there will be 4 more payments to make. Full payment must be received by 31st May 2024

If Devon Scouts cancel the event a full refund will be given. If you/your young people cancel they will lose their deposit. If you/they cancel withing 28 days of the start date of the event no refund will be given (except in extenuating circumstances)
Camping Information
Leaders will be allowed on-site from 12pm on Saturday 17th August 24 to set up
Leaders can access the site from 12pm on Saturday 17th August 2024 and must have everything set up by the end of Sunday 18th August 2024. No vehicles will be allowed on site from Monday to Friday
Those attending the full camp can arrive from midday on Sunday 18th August 2024 (it should be noted that activities will start on Monday, so be prepared to entertain your young people). Young people attending the mini-camp should only arrive between 8am and 8.30am on Monday 19th August 2024. Alternatively, it is possible for all young people to arrive from midday on Sunday if leaders prefer. In order to keep our young people safe access will not be possible outside these times.
There will be 5 sub-camps. You will be informed before the camp which one you are in. Your sub-camp leader will allocate your camping area dependent on how many participants you have
There will be toilet blocks/portaloos/urinals in every sub camp in addition to other areas around the site. Shower blocks will also be located close to your sub-camp.
Yes. Unaccompanied Explorers and Volunteers will be catered for in their sub-camps
There will be centralised power for the event but no individual hook up
No – you will need to make your own provision for this. It is hoped to have a central freezer for you to re-freeze ice packs
There will be recycling options and grey water disposal points
Subject to space available, this should be possible
Only for setting up and striking camp. No vehicles will be allowed on site during the camp itself
Yes – you can visit on Wednesday when we hold our “Open Day” – You will need to register with us and there will be a £10 charge payable in advance. Please book on this website
Activities

Yes. It is anticipated that most of the activities will be pre-bookable
There will be age restrictions on some activities – this will be made clear once the list of activities is published
Activities will run from 10am to 5pm Monday 19th to Friday 23rd August 2024. There will be main stage entertainment throughout every day and every evening until approximately 10:30pm. Please ensure that you have a selection of activities for your own Section/Group for any “down-time” your young people may need
Yes. In order that we can run all the activities we will be asking for leaders to volunteers to help. Please try to cooperate and be as flexible as possible

Yes. Although there will be a camp First Aider, each Section/Group should be able to deal with minor injuries etc.
Yes (or shared with a group willing to hold a permit for you)
Yes. Any adult on site without a current DBS will be asked to leave. Mandatory learning must also be up to date. This will be checked prior to allowing any adult on site
Yes – please ensure they have an up to day list of camp attendees, including adults
